I got the 31.0 version of Thunderbird. Now when I hit insert+page-down,
it says nothing. In the previous versions, it would tell me how many
messages there were, and how many were unread. Any ideas on how to get
this back?

I never used the ins/page down feature but in the mail box tree view in
parens you'll find the number of unread emails. Are you finding that
your spellchecker is functioning properly? Mine will not give me the
(incorrectly spelled) word I entered, just a reiteration of the
suggested word.
Curious because up till now, it always told me how many messages I had
and how many unread messages there are. You are of course correct about
the inbox thing. As for the misspelling, just tried it and yes it still
tells me if I misspell a word. However it sometimes will repeat the
