[JAWS-Users] strange sound when hitting enter on a link

Even when I have popup blocker turned off in IE8 I sometimes get a  strange 
sound when I hit enter to opoen a link. It sounds like a big drop of water 
falling in to a bucket. (smile) and the link won't open.  However, if I use the 
application key or route jaws to pc I can open the link.
