Hello Muhammad Babar Shahzad,
I am not sure what you are trying to accomplish? Do you want the
document

to be read only, or do you want to password protect? If password
protection is what you want pressing alt F then E, followed by E will
bring you to a password protection dialog box in which you can put in a
password and press enter and you will then be prompted to confirm the
password. A bit of caution though, if you put a password on a document
and then forget the password you will not be able to get into your
document. If making a document read only is your goal, then follow these
steps. 1. Press f-12 for the save as dialog. 2. press the letter L for
the

tools menu, then down arrow and press enter on general options. 3. To
check the read only check box you can press alt E or tab to the box and
press the space bar. 4. If you have already saved the document you will
want to save it again now with another name to make it read only. If you
want to make a read only document no longer read only follow the previous
steps and step 3 pressing the alt E key sequence will uncheck the read
only check box. I hope this helps!

Sincerely, Ryan West

I have been unable to find any automatic installer in .exe file format

the only way to install access bridge or is there some kind of

Re: [JAWS-Users] MS Word 2007 Checkboxes

2012-06-11 Thread Brian Lee
Hello Muhammad,

If the form is not protected there are a couple ways that you can access the
checkboxes and check them. You can use function key 11 to move form field
to form field down through the document or use shift with function key 11 to
move up through the form by form field. In the case of checkmark form
fields, you can go to the bookmarks that were created when the form fields
were inserted. Use CTRL+shift key and function key 5 to list bookmarks.
Use down arrow key to the checkbox bookmark you want and press enter key.
Use escape to get out of the bookmark dialog box. It will probably be
easier for you to use F11 and shift F11 to move forward and backward through
the form.

When you get to the checkbox that needs checked by using the f11 or shift
with f11, use the application key or shift+f10. Use down arrow to the
choice for properties and press enter key. Tab to the group of radio
buttons that determine if the status should be checked or unchecked for the
checkbox. If you hear checkbox not checked radio button checked then use
down arrow key. You should hear checked radio button checked. Use tab
key to a checkbox that says checkbox enabled and it should say that it is
checked. If it says unchecked then use spacebar but it should tell you it
is checked. Continue to tab to the OK button and use spacebar.

JAWS might not correctly tell you the status of these checkboxes when the
form is not protected. However, this method should work as long as you
don't overwrite the fields.

Take care.

2012-06-11 Thread inthaneelf

i think i remember something like this from a long ways back.

the trouble (if... stress the if! i am remembering right) is that they use a
non-standard highlighting method, and/or it may need to be setup in
compatability mode in windows 7 one or the other.

make a copy of your current scripts as they are, (that way if i am wrong
things can be reset with ease) then run the custome highlight assign feature
(i had a sheet on this, but the interface has been changed so it is not
worth much now).

if that don't work I'd try the compatability mode settings in win 7, and you
can try talking to there tech support crew, in the past they have been real
good at assisting us up to and including making application changes that
made there program work better with screenreaders.

Hello all,
I recently installed notetab lite and am having problems getting it to
work right. I am using JAWS13 latest build on a Windows 7 64bit home
premium system. When I am trying to type in notetab lite, everything is
repeated with every keystroke. I even opened up a text file and tried to
modify it. When I went to type a character it started reading the whole
document instead of just the character I typed. Anyone have any
suggestions I could try to fix this? I really like this text editor.
Also, I know it is a problem with notetab because JAWS does not exhibit
this behavior in any other programs.

Thanks,

Re: [JAWS-Users] cdex

2012-06-11 Thread inthaneelf
there is normally a sheet available on the download site, but I'll paste the
one i have in below:

Download CDEx from the programs page and install the program.
You can run CDEx from your programs menu or the desktop icon.
There are a few things you need to do the first time you use the program.
press f4 Then ctrl+tab until it says file name tab.
Here you can specify the folder where you want to put wav files to be
compressed

and also the folder where you want tracks to be stored after ripping
For example on my system they both
C:\Documents and Settings\Debbie\My Documents\My Music\MP3\
You will also find two checkboxes you can check which allow you o select
what kinds

of play lists to keep, m3u and pls.

Now ctrl+tab to the Encoder tab. The only item we will look at here is the
encoder.

tab until You are on a combo box of the available encoders.
use the arrow keys to select the encoder You wish.
For a beginner I suggest using the lame encoder, which is the first on the
list.
You can optimize the performance of this or any of the encoders but You must
do it

with the jaws cursor, in the lower part of this dialog box.

next ctrl+tab to the remote CDDBtab and fill in Your email address.
Tab and check the box for auto connect to remote CDDB.

then tab until You get to an ok button and press enter.

Now We are ready to start ripping music.
place a cd in Your cd ROM drive, and if it starts playing just abort the
player.

Start cdex if You don't already have it running.
Cdex will check cddb for the cd' content and will fill in the artist, album
title,

and track names.select the tracks You want from the listview .
Then press f8 to extract to a wav file, or f9 to extract to Your chosen
encoder.

there you go,
