Russ, I think you can uninstall AVG from add/remove programs. There are two different versions of MSSE, depending on what operating system you use. YOu didn't state which one you have, so here are the links: 1. XP 32 bit.

Russ, You can choose a manual quick-scan or thorough scan. Also, if you open MSSE, tab until you hear the home button, then left arrow once or twice, you will land on a settings treview where you can configure settings to tell MSEE what you want it to do for various default actions. Steve
