Re: [JAWS-Users] Toshiba Drivers Inquiry
Hey jerry. Cool that they'll give you remote support. It seems to me that on that page you could search directly for the drivers for the drive. But I wouldn't know what to enter. They'll probably be able to help you. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of jyandt.mar...@comcast.net Sent: February 7, 2018 4:18 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Toshiba Drivers Inquiry I did speak with Toshiba this morning, and they said that they could do a remote session; so I will have to wait until my wife gets home for that. Off-hand, I don't know what steps to take exactly, but I would definitely not write this off as a useless proposition. You can get old drivers for almost anything, and provided the thing did work with Windows 10 at some point, it should still work now. It would be extremely crappy of Microsoft to suddenly stop supporting hardware altogether. There's usually a way to make it work. My wife has a Toshiba lapptop, and uses no screen reader software. With Windows 10, how would I go about trying to find out if the internal CD rom has the current drivers, and what are the steps for getting them and downloading/installing them? We found out that the latest updates for Windows 10 does not support the cd rom, so this may be, more than likely, a useless proposition. Thanks in advance. [JAWS-Users] Toshiba Drivers Inquiry
Morning everyone.
