hi

my college is upgrading to office 2007 in September.

I was told to make office accessible you can alter the settings so it will
show the drop down menus similar to previous versions.

I'm not sure if they meant in the control panel though.

anyone know about this?

thanks

Well, I'm just starting with it, and haven't had training, or time to
read anything, but basically, you hit the ALT key, and you are presented
with a row of buttons that you tab across, These buttons kind of
represent what was on the old dropdown menus. You press the spacebar on
a button, and you get another row of buttons with more options. There
is an add-on that you can buy for $30, that will give you the classic
dropdown menus. So far, with persistence, I have been able to use the
ribbon. Also, there are keyboard commands that you can memorize and use
to pretty much avoid the ribbon.

You will need an add on to do this. There is one available from
www.addintools.com for $30. Recently someone posted a link to a free
one, but I already had purchased the one mentioned above, so I didn't
save the message. You can get a 15 day free trial for the one mentioned
above.
