Yes, but we are talking about VLC player random function, not winamp. I prefer randomising the playlist in winamp with alt-shift-r rather than using shuffle mode. The reason is that when using shuffle it's impossible to tell what song has just played after it's moved on to the next one.

Hey jerry. Isn't this something of an ongoing issue for you? Did you ever get your external CD rom to be recognised for the other program (was there more than one?) you were using? You can find all disk options under "open disk" in the media menu. Looking at it now, there is a series of radio
