I'll try Victor. When we think of screen reading, we assume that your
screen reader (JAWS in this case), is literally reading text as it is
written to the screen. While this works in many cases quite well, it is
not the best solution for complex applications like excel or Word for

For those struggling with keystroke, remember that you need to do this
different than other key combinations. Hold down the JAWSKey and press
SpaceBar. Then release the JAWSKey. Now press R and you should be in the Edit

You might take a look at Lotus Symphony. It is the IBM version of Open
Office with iAccessible2. You should find this much more accessible then
Open Office and it is available for use at home for free.

I'm quite sure that the level of support will not be equal to what is
working today in MS Office but you must realize, we have been working on
MS Office and the Object Model it provides, for 15 years now. Having
said that, I encourage you to install the Lotus Symphony Office and try

been working on a few final tweaks, and will finish testing over the weekend.
