Hi there,
I tryed to run my JWS EJB demo with new installed JRE 1.4.
Under JRE 1.3 everything works fine.

Now following exception was thrown:

could you possibly release a src package for the 3.0beta you recently released? It
helps to have the actual source used and some of us behind firewalls can't remote CVS.

What would it take to pretty up the output from the JMX HTML adapter?
Since a lot of folks will probably be using that to manage the server, we
might want to think about beautifying it a bit... Nothing fancy or
cumbersome, but a little sprucing up here and there...
I'm happy to see what I can
Well, my Google search lead me back to this forum and I found, that the reason for
this error came from different classes on client side and server side. Since ejb.jar
in JBOSS/CLIENT has changed to jboss-j2ee.jar, this file was not redepoyed to the
webserver by my ant-script. So my JWS
It is a Sun utility, it comes from jmxtools.jar
and is just a front-end to the MBeanServer.
As part of JBossMX we want to provide a better version.
Mainly for security, but there are other improvements,

Hunter,
The JMX HTML adapter is provided by sun in the reference JMX implementation.
I had talked with marc in Boston in January regarding this components
replacement or wrapping. I planned to take this on, however currently I'm
preparing for a presentation at an upcoming conference. I should

It sounds like we're on the same page. I think this would be a great...
Do you think we'd want to have a standard and extended mode, letting the
standard be more slimmed down for netboot and embedded uses and the extended
being the full blown deal?
Anyway, yeah, I'd like to help.

I am trying to integrate the log4j 1.2 in 2.4.x release and I think the 2.4.5 would be
a perfect release for that. Can some one help me in understanding how I can pick up
the 2.4.4 source code from the cvs, what label should I use?
Also I need to understand about the war and ear deployer to

Of course, there could be two versions.
One for embedded, and one using servlets/jsp.
IMHO the JMX-HTML-adapter should be completely independent of any
other service (servlet or jsp).

I also like the idea of a small integrated version and an extended
full feature tool. Do you guys think that the JSR77 stuff is already
implemented enough to include statistics and monitoring in this
new JMX management tool?

It may not be a good idea to ask such a thing while people are celebrating
at JBossOne... :-)
Anyway, is this happening with somebody else? Or is it just with me?
I am running jdk 1.4 on Linux. The relevant log excerpt is included below.

I have the same problem.
JBoss 3.0.0beta2 (CVS HEAD) gives me the same exception with JDK 1.4 on Windows 2000.
