I'm attempting to setup JBoss to run different instances on different IP
addresses or different ports.
1) I've attempted change the port numbers in the following files:
jboss.jcml
jndi.properties
standardjboss.xml
Now I get an error that says that there is

Jonathan,
Either HTTP or JMX-HTML adaptor is causing the address in use error.
If you are talking about 3.0 (you didn't specify - tisk, tisk :-) ), those
config files
