You are talking about a primary-partition approach. The
literature tells
you to shut down members in a non-primary partitions. It is simple to
implement, all right. But it reduces overall availability of a
distributed system, that's why there are many approaches
beyond primary

There may still be exceptions if you stop the hsqldb mbean while there are
still connections checked out to applications using them, but I don't think
this is realistic to try to fix at this point.

David,
I've submitted patch XDT-423 to allow the jboss-service-template subtask to
merge external mbeans. I'm assuming that you're the one that will merge the
patch contents, so please let me know if you need anything from me. I'm not
sure I generated the diff file correctly (it's my first try),
I keep getting connection refused when trying to
connect to jboss.org, others in my company have
similar problems. There's nothing about our firewall
setup that's causing port 80 or 443 packets to be
blocked.
I need to access the forums.
Dave

Its there as I just hit it. You will have to troubleshoot your route to the server.

Hi,
Could you please tell me how to subscribe to this list for

Thanks,

Have you tried a different browser/computer? (I had problems with
Mozilla 1.2 on Win2K but IE6 and Mozilla 1.3 did not have this issue.
Perhaps it is not a browser problem but worth trying anyway).

Configuration is exactly like J2EE except fields and constructors are added.
There's an example under the testsuite. Here's an XML snippet.
metadata-loader group=security
class=org.jboss.aop.security.SecurityClassMetaDataLoader/
advisable class=org.jboss.test.aop.bean.SecurityTester
nice :)
I think we should also provide massive defaults and provide a
application
security config=appUser/
/application
:)
so we can build some indirection in all this configuration stuff

I'm not sure what your point is, Victor. The exceptions Scott saw were a
result of a change I made in the last few days to improve the shutdown
behavior of the pools, something I've been somewhat worried about since I
wrote them. The fix was to change the mbean dependency between the hslq
mbean
Does clustering in jboss-head work for anyone on OS X? Whenever I try
to shutdown jboss-head on my powerbook the entire os locks up until I
unplug my wireless access point and 'killall -9 java'. This can take
like 30 minutes to get my laptop responsive again.
[12:27:50] dain$ java -version
As in just running the all config, or are you actually clustering
with something else?
Running all certainly works in 3.2 - I've not tried HEAD in a while.
In fact, I've run all on a Mac and linux box together without
problems using JDK 1.4.1.
