Ok, this would solve the problem of a restart of a cache, because then it would
retrieve the information from the cacheloader. But what happens if we have,
let's say, a short network interrupt. To my understanding of the cache loader
this would not be noticed and changes which happen during
Andy,
results for me with a JDK1.5
- compile fails when no JBOSS_HOME is given:
D:\tmp\jboss-mailant gui-install
| Buildfile: build.xml

| prepare:
| [echo] jbhome=${env.JBOSS_HOME}

Ah, wrt 3: the installer should perhaps ask for the ip of a dns server to use.

Explain, did DNS not work for you? Right now we use the default route. There
is provision to add them in DNS sender but we never implemented the

I got jbossportal 2.0 from cvs and tried to build it according to the wiki. The
jdk I am using is 5.0 and the result is as follows. I am just wondering if
jboss portal supports jdk5.0... Thanks.
$ sh build.sh deploy

Probably it is just my ignorance. I startet JBmail and tried the mxLookup()
method in the jboss.mail:name=SMTPSender,type=MailServices MBean with a domain
that I can lookup from command line via 'nslookup do.main mx'.
The result is
Caused by: java.lang.RuntimeException: Could not resolve DNS
Ah, what I constantly forget: this is on win2k with IP/DNS obtained over DHCP.
But I know that the default GW is not able to serve DNS requests.

ahh just saw your next message. Okay I'll add the DNS servers specification
stuff. There are many things about M2 that aren't what will be so in Final.
Its just picking whats important. This is obviously important enough to make
the release.
