trying to run JBoss on one computer, and Orion on another (soon to be replaced
with Jetty). I want to simulate a multi-tier setup so that we can scale on
both web and middle tiers. When I deployed ejbs and servlets in same

I am not quite sure I fully understand what is going on. First I kept
getting NOT BOUND exceptions. I found out that if I turn off the WebServer
at port 8083, apparently my EJB wont deploy. I have no clue why this is. I
would like to somehow start JBoss with NO ports open except the JNDI
Ok..if this is the wrong list, I apologize. I am setting up JBoss on one
computer, and using Orion (for now) on another for the web tier. I want my
web tier to access an EJB deployed on JBoss on the other computer (typical
