[JBoss-dev] [XDoclet on JBoss (XDoclet/JBoss)] - Re: controling what and how interfaces are generated
sorry , i didn't mean to look like i was talking trash ... i was however quite annoyed because i had lost quite a bit of time , not because of it not working , but because of a clear bug , as the files were ALL beeing generated ( meaning my xdoclet tags were right all arround ) but eclipse was only showing the new ejb-jar.xml and not the Interfaces making me as a noob doubt what i have done and search for answers in the wrong places . And yes I have throughly read all 3 pdf's that are available here for the JBoss-IDE . I have tried at first following the third pdf step by step , and I was forced to stop as i've realised my Xdoclet configurations which were showing in a picture in the pdf were nowhere to be found . I know to some it might seem it's just a noob not beeing able to find his way through the interface but i've spent quite a bit of time looking through eclipse , asking questions here and there and dooing numerous google searches . I even went as far as getting all the E-books I could find on eclipse into an account i have and none of them even mentioned the subject , so i tried R-asmany-FM i could get my hands on . so i have installed the JBoss-IDE , however , as I was trying to follow the tutorial steps , I noticed my Xdoclet configurations option is not available . I have not been able to get it listed in the properties panel , can anybody give me some hints on this ? thanks View the original post : http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bbop=viewtopicp=3822340#3822340 Reply to the post : http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bbop=postingmode=replyp=3822340 --- SF.Net is sponsored by: Speed Start Your Linux Apps Now. zapa, the stuff works, how do I know? I use it. But you need to follow the steps in the getting started book, you seem to have not done it. I have done it and it works. I was experiencing the same problem you report because I had gotten cute on the filters in the task definition and decided to not type what the getting started book recommended and the classes didn't get included just like you see. It is not eclipse, guaranteed. Follow the steps in the intro docs please. Meaning RTFM before you start talking trash View the original post : http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bbop=viewtopicp=3822390#3822390 Reply to the post : http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bbop=postingmode=replyp=3822390 --- SF.Net is sponsored by: Speed Start Your Linux Apps Now. You should use @ejb.interface-method view-type=local instead of @ejb.interface-method local Jan View the original post : http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bbop=viewtopicp=3822136#3822136 Reply to the post : http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bbop=postingmode=replyp=3822136 --- SF.Net is sponsored by: Speed Start Your Linux Apps Now. Eclipse will help very much on start and also in advanced coding of EJB's. I have a few problems with it on Linux SuSE (8.1 and 8.2). It seems to do some memory leakes when running ant built scripts. Good luck Jan View the original post : http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bbop=viewtopicp=3822269#3822269 Reply to the post : http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bbop=postingmode=replyp=3822269 --- SF.Net is sponsored by: Speed Start Your Linux Apps Now.
