I have seen this too in the CVS HEAD.
It seems to be provoked by a failed deployment.
For example, I just got this:
1)

I think the pool feeder logic was thrown together a bit too hastily and
with not enough pre-thought and design... but that is just my opinion
I also get that from time to time, and I end up having to restart jboss.
I also get hung deployments that won't clean up until I start jboss.
I always thought it was a testsuite issue.
