I'm a little confused on how I can get a datasource hooked up via JNDI for my
web application. I'm used to working on Tomcat and to configure the JNDI, it
was a matter of dropping an xml file into the server's conf directory but I'm
having a difficult time getting my app to work inside JBoss.
We recently ran a test with a user who was complaining of the same thing. We
discovered that if the server is run in debug mode, and you're merely changing
java files (and not changing the 'structure' of the class, just the content of
the methods), hot-code replace actually *does* work.

I think I've seen this type of thing before and it was a problem with having
duplicate jars across separate deployed wars/sars.
Taking this into account, I tried removing some or all of the jar files
included in the ICP sar deployment and rebuilt but it threw different errors
like it needed tho

I just tried a little demo of using seam remoting in my JSF app using Seam, and
found that I can't use it for my needs. We have a lot of code that uses the
FacesContext and its internal classes for our beans & methods. It looks like
Seam doesn't create a FacesContext inside of the remoting servl

After using the NetBeans code generation:
1) Removed the ejb-local-red from the web.xml file
2) Changed "java:comp/env/ejb/MyBean" to "MyBaseEARFilename/MyBean/local"

But I got this message : javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: jmx not bound
I use jboss AS 4.0.4 with messaging installation option.
My problem can be solved by using standard instalation option, but I

There is no explicit lock/unlock API. To get the effect you want you should use
a transaction; a RL will be acquired on the get() call; WL for the put/remove.
Locks will be retained until the tx commits or rolls back. If for some reason
the calling thread hangs, eventually the tx will time out
Of course. Non-persistent messages are not persisted, so there can be no
recovery. :)
I'll look into the persistent messages problem, if it behaves like you
described, it needs to be corrected. Stay tuned.

I am getting in touch with Seam intensively for days now and I'm already
seriously addicted to this, I think, outstanding framework. But during
experimenting I ran over a misbehaviour I cannot explain. The booking example
shipped with Seam 1.0.1 GA doesn't correctly display the "Current
