I think you should be able to use a -ds.xml for the modified .rar if you
use the tx-connection-factory format rather than the datasource format,
since you will be able to specify which ra.xml you want via the

My first guess is that the packaging of the jboss jca stuff is broken and
that two copies of the org.jboss.resource.connectionmanager classes have

JBoss still uses the remote interfaces of ejb 2 (that is what you ask for)

I don't know what the Oracle error means, but you do not need an xa
datasource for jbossmq xa. In fact the jbossmq xa jdbc connections are set

Use the sap db example with local tx. The XADataSourceImpl from jboss 2.x
DOES NOT WORK as a XADataSource. If SAP DB supports xa it will provide an
XADataSource implementation or a jca adapter itself. I think it does not
support xa but haven't investigated much.

Several people have reported this. I don't know the cause. It may happen
if you get the connection in setEntityContext() and close it in

I'm
with me. Even the obvious clue would be great. I have tried everything I know.

omeone else who knows more than me can answer your last question, but I'll
guess you're right - the tx (and probably security) information is probably
related at the thread level. A possible implementation is the
java.lang.ThreadLocal class.

I have the following informix-ds.xml file deployed with the
INFORMIXSERVER=dbserver specified in the connection string. Yet it is
complaining about INFORMIXSERVER not being set.
InformixDS
jdbc:informix-sqli://host:1621/
dbname:INF
I think the EARDeployer needs to be modified so that you can list an
*-ds.xml file in jboss-app.xml and it will be picked up. This should be
very easy, it already looks for *-service.xml files in jboss-app.xml. I
think this is all you need to do. Let use know.

The log output you show shouldn't get in the way of anything except maybe
jsr 77 monitoring features. Can you set the log level to at least debug
and show the server.log for the *-ds.xml file being deployed? I don't have
any XADataSources handy to try this with.

Let me know how you decide to do it as i18n is very interesting to me.

Hi all,
This is way off JBoss as a topic, but because of the expertise in
developing J2EE apps and because the xpetstore applicaiton shows
o
it as i18n is very interesting to me.
Thanks,
