Of the Open Source databases out there which have people had the best
luck with?
Postgres works fine for me. We're using 7.1.2 atm I think, but I didn't
have any probs with 7.0. If you've got a hang I would suspect its an
application problem.

In the DB realm I have tried three different databases with three
different results.
