Richard,
The default install of Red Hat 6.2 includes "unzip".
To see if it's installed on your system just type:
rpm -q unzip
If it's not there, rpm will be sure to let you know.
I'm pretty sure though that it's already on your
system. Also, make sure that when you run JBoss it's
using JDK 1

JBoss will not compile with JDK 1.4 for JBoss 2.4.x The main (RH 3.0) fixes
this problem I think.

There should be no changes required and I am not able to reproduce this
exception. Post a bug report with the server.log output(not the console
output)
of the exception and the ear that causes this problem on sourceforge.
