I don't think IA-64 is directly supported by OpenJDK. There certainly is an
IA-64 port in the closed source, but it's not released to OpenJDK. There's
an old post on this list that mentions the IA-64 port. [1]

Debian compiles OpenJDK packages for ia64. Looking at the test suite
result, they work to some extent. I can't comment on performance.
