May I please have approval to backport 8059327 fix from JDK8 to JDK7?
Fix applies cleanly.
Testing (JPRT+JTREG) shows no failures with new and other xml related
tests.

On a side note, I notice that alot of new incoming testng tests don't
use the "@bug" label convention. QA and other teams use that tag for
metrics. Something to keep an eye on.
