I think this is a great idea, Julien looks to have done a lot of work, and
that sort of time commitment will be very helpful.

Added Fabrizio to this thread, the current maintainer.
(And Francis, the previous maintainer FYI, who said IIUC though he was not
able to commit to much anymore, he was still interested to keep his commit
rights in case this comes back).
