I see the same in the latest version 1.1.26. Gitlab 6.9.2. The stack trace is

When trying to use for example "${BUILD_NUMBER}
_log.html" for log file the result is that the filename is shown also that way ("$ {BUILD_NUMBER}

May be my question was not correctly asked or inaccurate... So after diving more into the problem i tried to get more entries by defining the tree part like this:
{{.../job/.../api/json?tree=builds[number] {1,10}
}} so this prints out 10 entries...ok so i tried to get 100 which seemed to be working
{{...job/.../api/json?tree=builds[number] {1,100}
}} but if i try to get more than 100 entries like this:
{{/job//api/json?tree=builds[number] {1,150}
}} it gave me the same number of results...which looks like a problem which i don't understand or it is a bug...?

We use Stash and watch origin/pull-requests/*/from to build pull requests, but some teams have that parameterized so * is the default with the option of specifying a PR number to re-build a given PR. Forcing workspace polling works, but ideally, ls-remote wouldn't filter unless explicitly configured to do so. Even better, ls-remote can take refs as an argument and filters results... here: https://github.com/jenkinsci/git-plugin/blob/master/src/main/java/hudson/plugins/git/GitSCM.java#L595 after the list of heads is returned, each item in the list is compared against each refspec. If the respec keys were instead passed to ls-remote as arguments, you would immediately have a filtered list of candidates if I'm not crazy. If i try to get informations about the existing builds the output is limited to 100 entries.Is this intentional and if so can the information extracted or is this a hard limitation? Or does exist an other way may be using supplemental parameters ? I already tried with things like this:{{http://jenkins/job/JOBNAME/api/json?tree=builds}}but the limitation is not changed.

env. variable $ {build_version}
doesn't get expanded.
Looking at the code on GitHub it seems to be a problem with ArtifactResolver which never calls TokenMacro expansion target directory, but it does on a target file name.

We have one Linux master running multiple slaves, some windows, some Linux. Linux slaves (VMWare VM) get a revert to snapshot using vmware plugin, which is not possible for windows slaves in our current environment. To handle hanging processes and locked files, we disconnect each windows slave after 1 single build, shutdown and power on the vm. Our problem are ever growing workspace folders, allocating far more than 80gig of disk space within about two weeks, as the async cleanup can not run and remove old workspaces due to premature disconnect and termination of the java vm. In our case the workspace cleanup plugin can rename old workspaces successfully (* -> *ws-cleanup[1234567890]+) , but does not delete those old folders after successfully reconnecting the windows slaves. We get no errors logged using ws-cleanup plugin version 0.28 in our build logs. Is this intentional and if so can the information extracted or is this a hard limitation? Or does exist an other way may be using supplemental parameters ? I already tried with things like this:{{http://jenkins/job/JOBNAME/api/json?tree=builds}}but the limitation is not changed.

"All text fields support the use of environment variables available during build (e.g. {code} ${BUILD_NUMBER} {code} )."JENKINS-9078When trying to use for example "${BUILD_NUMBER}_log.html" for log file the result is that the filename is shown also that way ("${BUILD_NUMBER}_log.html") instead of "40_log.html".
