joe ferr Yes, I can confirm that, once we upgraded to the latest ( git plugin to 4.0.0-rc and git client plugin to 3.0.0-rc), git operations were not working correctly.  Downgrade to 3.9.1 and 2.7.2 solved the issue, but it seems (of course) busy file persist.

[~markewaite] Hello, Mark, I apologize but I can't afford to install beta version.Anyway thanks for the feedback about the update.I noticed it looks like solution was found, good job.  From my experience, I did not found any relation between environment, we are running on RHEL and tried with jenkins LTS 2.107.3 and 2.150.2, issue occurs on both machines, randomly and not so frequently. I am guessing if its not having eg. some relation to the credentials which are being used, but I am not sure (eg. stored on the global level and then being used in parallel)

Dominik Bartholdi  Hi, maybe override the default comparator, and implement custom one will be kind of workaround, how to fix the issue?  look eg. at following link: http://www.java2s.com/Tutorials/Java/Collection_How_to/Map/Create_custom_Comparator_for_TreeMap.htm    And that I understood it well, there is a bug in java implementation ?  Then, the issue should be reported into Java provider   Btw I can remember I was facing similar issue in the past, there was missing implementation of some method in OpenJDK, which was available in Oracle JDK, what I can remember it was also some kind of comparator, but on hashmap or something like these classes., or another abstract map.   Giacomo Boccardo, Oleg Nenashev FYI

Hi, all, just for being in touch,  so its the problem of config provider?  I guess the issue is not possible to revert, right?  We reverted from backups about 1TB of data (jenk. home, jobs and plugins folders) and then it was for sure back in the origin state, we did not found any other option :/

Hi,  we updated the plugin to the latest version and we were facing loosing permissions issue on some folder. As well stored credentials were wiped. After some looking, it looks like this - folder - plugin is causing the issues. Issue is:

when there was an update on the folder, then from some reason config.xml for the given job/ folder in this case will become unreadable for jenkins
that results in deletion of stored data like permissions configuration, or stored credentials on the given folder (config.xml is probably ignored / replaced by soem default one)
subjobs are not impacted
We noticed on impacted folder was in config.xml file: plugin="cloudbees-folder@6.4"> On non-impacted: plugin="cloudbees-folder@6.3">

Hi,  so I made some testing. I can see there appeared "Customize NVM Installation Settings", in the job configuration, under that you moved NVM Install URL and added NVM_DIR installation dir.

I can confirm, when we use this setting to custom path for node installations (new option), then it works, and the given value is taken
But, I tried to configure NVM_DIR in global variables (jenkins global config), and its NOT working
I didn't found the way how to define it on global level, maybe, can you advise with this? Thanks in advance,  and anyway, thanks for fix

  Re: NVM wrapper hard-coded path

Eloy Lafuente Hi, not from our side,  we (working on RHEL) tried also to symlink the .nvm folder, but it looks like nvm wrapper cannot work with that, so it was not working as expected :/

Hi,  we found the problem when the user get auto logoff timeout and you are in the job configuration screen.

when you are being logged of, you will be redirected to login screen
you need to login, ok
but, your changes (if you did not save it before) in job configuration are lost and you are not able to continue with the modified data
Maybe you can improve that? In the meaning to be able to continue in the job configuration?   (as the workaround works to increase the login timeout, but I think that should be changed)   Thanks in advance for any response.

 Hi Tomas,

it is available nvm.env file, and it is also set as a system env variable
it comes from nvm install script, so its defined during nvm instalation

Once there is nvm installed on the machine, plugin dont inherit and dont respect NVM settings. Our case: * having NVM at _/data/jenkins-misc/nvm/_ (same as *NVM_DIR* system property targets) * when using and configure wrapper plugin, all data are generated at jenkins user home- in our case _/var/lib/jenkins.nvm (default path)__Problem is over at following file line (NvmWrapperUtil.java), because there is hardcoded path_[https://github.com/jenkinsci/nvm-wrapper-plugin/blob/97093d1b19467b015565512317d065dc5e752ef7/src/main/java/org/jenkinsci/plugins/nvm/NvmWrapperUtil.java#L21] Note- because path is hardcoded, it is not possible to override it anyway Kindly, please, any possibility to fix this?We are started to having serious problem with the free space, because when _*.*nvm_ directory is symlink-ed, than plugin also dont works. Thanks in advance - Otherwise, if there is any way to solve that, or info who and how to contact, I will appreciate
