Ravi H K My understanding is that those plugins are were originally somewhat special and weren't used in the normal way exactly. Anyway, that approach is no longer suggested, and I'm not surprised that the direct HPI install doesn't generate a working system – I think that those HPI dependencies may not actually do anything anymore without special build configuration (though would hesitate to remove them completely without confirming more deeply). Currently the suggested way to add JS dependencies is located here: https://github.com/jenkinsci/js-samples/blob/master/step-04-externalize-libs/HOW-IT-WORKS.md#configure-node-build-to-externalize-dependencies – I believe this is how the JS dependencies are actually added in plugins. Someone more familar with the guts of how our JS dependencies work may feel free to correct me here though – I mostly do backend stuff at the moment. Tom FENNELLY is that right or am I completely off base here?
