 Hello, Indeed this would be a very nice feature. Even without access to the relevant authoritative name servers, the ACME HTTP challenge can be used for validation instead. There are multiple existing ACME client Java implementations available which might be good candidates for the Jenkins project (non-exhaustive list). Possibly the only Jenkins-specific integration point will be to expose an arbitrary (and small) sub-resource under the /.well-known/acme-challenge resource on demand (of the client), and to remove it on demand (of the client).
