newbie workspace cleanup issue
I’m trying to set up a job with an incremental SCM trigger and a clean workspace nightly trigger. From what I can see, the right way to do this is to set up both triggers (SCM and Build Periodically), and then set “Delete workspace before build starts” so that it checks the parameter BUILD_CAUSE_TIMERTRIGGER. At least that is what seemed to be the right thing to do. Well it doesn’t seem to work. I can check that BUILD_CAUSE_TRIGGER is being set in the environment (at least by the end of the build, which is when the variables are captured). Does The delete workspace command not see that? displayName openid plugin jenkins
Hi, I am not able to figure where to tinker in order to solve this. Problem description: CAS is configured with LDAP and openid and used as authentication for my Jenkins server. After successful login from CAS, it gets redirected back to my jenkins server page. However on the top right corner where ideally the displayName of the user should be, it shows the openid provider URL as it was provided in the openid configuration using jenkins openid plugin. Please refer to image as shown in the screenshot . anyone knows where I can configure so that the displayName on the jenkins is displayed as the user from my LDAP server. Inverse Git Poller building all branches on each interval
Hi, I have a jenkins build that I only want to build for branches so I am using the Inverse feature but it seems the build is running on each scheduled interval because my branch doesn't have the same commit hash as master. jenkins conditional matrix - combination filter does not work
I have these axis defined: platform: a, b, c mode: m board_type: x, y Would like to only build these combinations: a/x a/y b/x c/x These combos should be excluded: b/y c/y So I created a combination filter (however, this does not work and it builds all the combinations.): !(platform == b board_type == y) || !(platform == c board_type == y) I finally landed up doing this which works: (platform==a) (board_type==x) || (platform==a) (board_type==y) || (platform==b) (board_type==x) || (platform==c) (board_type==x) Would prefer to have the exclusions. Connection lost during build execution
Hi All we're using jenkins with slaves to execute automation tests on remote machines. Slaves are configured to connect to master and master build steps are executing against this slaves. Example: Server (Execution of tests using slaves) Slave1 (windows XP) Slave2 (windowx 7) Slave3 (windows 8.1) (ALL slaves are windows machines) Server starts builds on Slave1, Slave2 and Slave3 3rd build step is to install SUT (System under test) SUT is application that drop network interface and gets it up during installation (av software). When this happen Jenkins lost connection to slaves and end test as FAILURE. Is there any possibility how to handle this situation? eg. Don't FAIL and wait for next N-minutes to get slave up. (This means... start *.bat file on remote slave... and wait for N-minutes even if connection is lost... fail after N-minutes) We're using slaves that are connected through commandline java -jar .slave.jar -jnuplURL jenkinshost:8080/slaveName/. (because we need to interact with GUI/Desktop) I really can't find way how to handle this situation.
