I'm having the same problem. I'm trying to install Jenkins 1.579 into
Tomcat 7 which is running on a Synology NAS server. The only thing I can
find is the exception that's listed above.
Anyone know how to solve this problem?

When Jenkins fails to initialize, it tries to execute a user-definable script.
But that can only work when Jenkins is already successfully initialized. Will
