[J2] merging the deployment_refactoring branch

Just a short status update: I've merged the branch locally and all seems to work as expected on Tomcat 5.0.28 I'll continue testing tomorrow morning for Tomcat 5.5.8 and JBoss 3.2.7. If that goes well too, I'll commit the changes. Now heading for bed :-) Regards, Ate

Shah, I looked briefly at your actionMappings and the first thing I noticed is that you do a redirect=true on a forward from a RenderAction... You shouldn't need nor do that. Forwarding with redirect=true is something you only need after processing an ActionRequest. Shah Amit wrote: Hi Thomas,

The new deployment model may seem more limited at first but actually its not. The real change is that deployment really now is handled by the web/app server you are using. What J2 deployment manager does when you drop a war in the deploy folder is nothing more than rewriting the web.xml (if

You *must* be using action URLs because this warning is *only* displayed from within processAction handling. Just make sure to use render URLs. Shah Amit wrote: Hi all, Please pardon my stupidity with the Struts bridge. I have read the documentation several times, and I understand what it says.

?? .. You should not POST a form to a render URL. Encode your parameter(s) in a renderURL (for example using the Struts Bridge RewriteTag) and just point your browser url to it (setting window.top.location). Thanks, Amit Original Message Follows From: Ate Douma [EMAIL PROTECTED] Reply
