Sébastien, You are right, that typo is what caused most of the problems with rrdtool. I fixed it and now the automatic escaping of the : in COMMENT fields works fine. I've put a more generic fix for the $flip_legend problem, api.rrdtool.inc.php now eliminates any empty array items from the $opts
