RE: calling out the admin

2015-11-09 Thread judith bron via Jfw
This topic is really becoming tiresome. The admin for this list is a
volunteer. Personally there isn't enough money to get me to work 24/7 and
put up with all kinds of demands. If the admin is monitoring this list and
knocking out inappropriate messages so be it. In my opinion the forum is
running well and the volunteer admin has the right to his own life. JB

I have noticed a reoccurring theme here with an issue that came up earlier
this year and complaints that the admin. Wasn't monitoring the forum.

May I suggest a simple solution that might address this issue.

Perhaps a protocol that requires anyone wishing to catch the Admin.'s
attention to send an email to him that has a specific subject line reading
all caps URGENT ADMIN. And if need be on the admin.'s end sorting email
influx by subject specific to this protocol so that there is no reason for
an email to be unnoticed.

This way if anyone has an issue that they need admin assistance on they can
be assured to get him.

I'm not sure we really need the admin's baby sitting the content of the
forum but glad to have an authority if needed and for this an email to him
directly should suffice.

Thanks for your work as the admin...I'm sure it’s a thankless job...The
forum is invaluable.

I'm not sure if my email is going through, but if the admin reads this,
please email me at kimsans...@gmail.com .

Yes, the address is on the homepage; however, I've emailed that address I
believe 3 times with no answer.

Thank you.

No one seems to take any control on this list. We are more or less on
our own. That's why we can sort of knock on JAWS without reprisal. LOL

RE: calling out the admin

2015-11-08 Thread Kimsan via Jfw
Thanks.
I just want to know why I can't subscribe with another email an how no
confirmation is sent when I make that change under my profile.
I'm not sure if it's an outlook.com thing or configuration of the list.

I've looked at my junk settings, the folders, can't find a spam folder on
outlook.com, so I'm flustered lol.
I prefer to have everything I am involved with go to one email, aint nobody
got time for multiple email addresses for different groups lol.
Take care.
