Re: New SB LIVE drivers
Hi Scott and others, We have been running the LiveWare 2.0 drivers successfully at home now for several days. Before that we noticed that the first syllable was being chopped on some words. We installed JFW33 and the patch again and the problem went away. The installation of all of the rest of the programs in this large 26.7 meg download should not cause any problems. The only thing that seems to get in the way is the Creative Launcher. I am not sure but I believe you can choose not to install this, but if that isn't the case you can remove it afterward in add/remove programs. The problem is that it runs everytime you start Windows. I haven't spent time with to many of the programs that come with this set, but I have been told that many of them are not speech friendly at all. One place you can have fun is in the Audio HQ found in the Control Panel. There are a lot of special effects in there and its fun. I would say if you don't mind the time it takes to get this rather large file then go for it. I can't see that you have anything to loose. I have had the sb live drivers and programs installed now for 4 days with no ill effects of any kind. Ofcourse you do realize I can't guarantee if anything will happen to your pc. all pc's are different. Just try the drivers and see how they go. I can report they are running fine and if anything my pc runs better with the new drivers under win98. *** REPLY SEPARATOR *** On 26/05/99 at 12:41 Tusing wrote: >Greetings, >I am writing because there was a message asking if one could download >the sb live drivers only and not download the extra programs that come >automatically with the download of the new sb live drivers. Re: New SB LIVE drivers
Greetings, I am writing because there was a message asking if one could download the sb live drivers only and not download the extra programs that come automatically with the download of the new sb live drivers. I ask because I hope those other programs will not affect JAWS in any harmful way. So if there is any ill effects from getting, installing and having those other programs downloaded with the sb live drivers, please tell me and others. why make things a little"worse". And if there are no ill effects from using the new sb live drivers, could some one please write the list to notify us of that fact. thank you very much. - Visit the jfw ml web page: http://jfw.cjb.net

Re: New SB LIVE drivers
Hi there. I don't know if there is any way of just getting the new drivers. In the 28 meg download there are new applications and some other goodies as well. *** REPLY SEPARATOR *** On 24/05/99 at 18:34 David R. Re: New SB LIVE drivers
Hi David, This is the entire Creative Live suite of programs. Its far more than just the drivers. As far as I know you are not able to just get the drivers by themselves.
