I can't find that message text in JMeter code - however some of the
warnings are produced by the SOAP transport. It sounds like the
transport does not like the reply.
Since you are using a SOAP monitor, it should be possible to check if
there is a content-type

It's with both versions 2.2 and rc2.3(a nightly build from last week).
SOAPmonitor only shows me the soap envelope (the request is of my own and
it's a simple correct xml, the response looks ok), not the http headers. Can
it be configured to show those as well?

virtual Memory other then application/web server capacity.
for example if you have 2GB RAM and around 7000KB VM. then it maximum can
handle 100 threads at a time.
so check your machine configuration as well
