If you're looking for one inside Joomla, definitely JCE. If you need a desktop / external editor for non-Joomla reasons, I went with: http://www.w3.org/Amaya/ Handy for local desktop HTML files (simple splash pages, etc.) and supported by the WWW Consortium, so it *should* be compliant... -Geof
