Men all these Stories are so funny and when you read it now you just laugh.I remember a few guys in my time, some real names i have forgotten, but if there was anything like expert sneakers these guys were it.There is this guys called Argentina ,Sale M.T Sale,he used to sneak like it was legal and normal to do so.Sale would walk past the back gate like it was the front gate in the full view of people.Men another guy called Jack Lord, infact he was more outside than inside, you could call Jack Lord a visiting student. These were men who had seen more Chinese and Indian movies than the Chinese and Indians themselves. When they came to tell stories we d fear fear commandos would gather to listen. If those guys were smart they should have collected gisting fees from us, they would have made more money than Kwararafa and New Era. One memorable time i sneaked out was in my final year with Ottong Ekpo,we had just finished the command /federal govt colleges art and science festival. There was a party that night and FGC was hosting. The principal Mr. Ligali sent for me and said no command student is permitted to attend the party.Ottong my accomplice and i had been toasting women from all the Federals that came.kai!!! how we no go go groove. As prefects we devised a plan.after dinner we walked straight to the gate carrying in our hands biros and notepads. We got there i think it was Oga Sunny (who remembers him ?) that was there. As prefects we told him that we were going to Federal to make sure no command student was at the party that if there is anyone there we were bringing them to face the law.No one asked us for authority or exeat, here we were, sneaking out of school through the gate RECORD!!!Break this somebody. We get to the party and as expected it was loaded with command girls and boys.na the girls shock me pass.We lied to them that we had come for them see fear wey full their body but after a while when they saw us groooving they relaxed. When we were tired of grooving we decided to go back to school and advised everybody to do the same. Two girls followed us back to school (names withheld) we lifted the fence for them to crawl under we then strolled into school and announced to Oga Sunny that no one was there this was way pass lights out. When i think about it i grin because in CSSJ at that time to be a hero you must break the rules. What warped thinking. - Original Message From: "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: tony denor <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Cc: "[email protected]" Sent: Tuesday, 26 August, 2008 5:59:16 PM Subject: RE: Re: [Jos Commandos] School Tales...errata added..lol I waz quite a good boy and never smelt scaling fences until my final year and thereabout my final paper when my group of comrades ; chiwendu ogbonna, lawani, myself & a fourth G, ALL flying horse house members called our senses to order and asked ourselves this "..how can we pass through this school without sneaking even oneday?.." immediatly, we all agreed to sneak out. Guys command was really great and full of exciting stories, from sneaking out to kwarf(kwararafa and farin gada just to buy kose and doya), to those safari trips to the orchad/school farm and stream. from sleeping on trees in the orchard to dodge friday pre-inspection work, to some of my homies (not mentioning names here) who go to toilet with biscuit wrappers and a whole lot. wish we can get some present commandos still in school to give us gist about present day happenings. i know the bullying must have reduced considerably, students probably have gsm and internet in school etc. Please anyone knows the whereabouts of the following '91s biodun ajayi, kazeem adeleye, allen and franklin iwute, sunday chiejine, akinfe, Guys keep it up. --- On Tue, 26/8/08, Taiwo Akinosho <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: From: Taiwo Akinosho <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Re: [Jos Commandos] School Tales...errata added..lol To: [email protected] Date: Tuesday, 26 August, 2008, 9:29 AM I totally agree. So she gave me full dose of the drugs. I felt better almost instantly. The truth was that until that day i too didnt know i was allergic to Chloroquinne. I got to the hostel and then had a bath with cold water! To cut a long story short, nobody slept in FHH that nite and eventually i was rushed to rukuba the every next morning. ALL'S WELL THAT ENDS WELL: Victor was also allergic to beans or akara or boiled eggs (one of these not so sure anymore) it used to give him heart burns. So as his main man, i got his share! So i never really got mad at him for the trauma i felt he caused, later, i spent a week in the library reading anything on allergy i laid my hands on! ODU...yep now thats what it was called back then..but definetly not on the scale its on right now..i can just imagine how the present commandos will be doing in school..am sure "odu" whould have reached a new dimension...imagine if we had GSM during our time???am sure tiwex and co whould have not been caught in town cos a look out person will have flashed them or called that AO was aroundor maybe we will have placed our food and kose order on phone so that we dont stay to long there..as we get there we eat and vamoose..or flash that babe of yours that u r on your way to the "spot"...just imagine the possibilitiesright now am thinking of all the near escapes that i had on my various sneeaking missions and how GSM would have greatly improved things...am sure it will not be allowed in school..but think of all the things that were prohibited in school back then, that we still had in school...endless list...now am not saying sneaking out of school was a good thing..no..but it was surely neccessary to prepare one for the hard knocks of life as experienced in naija...it greatly contributed to the top education we got in command..while books made us knowledgable..sneaking made us streetwise..dont you agree?
