The whole openstreetmap.de domain is not reachable at the moment. It
seems to have disappeared completely from DNS. Are there issues with
the provider?

it appears the denic is having problems with it's sub-root servers

The same is true for geofabrik.de. Did Geofabrik go belly up, or what?

A lot of German nameservers have these problem ... see reports at heise.de.

Hello,
I found bug #3142 again and setup a redirect for API. This means we now
can run an applet at josm.openstreetmap.de and access the API using same
server.
I did not get the applet working, so if there is anybody who can help
fixing it, we get one more step in direction of better
It would be very interesting if were un-buggy enough to run via the
Edit button on openstreetmap.org. I've wanted to make the editor the
user runs via the Edit button optional for some time.
