Dear family Let us praise the Lord and give him thanks I wish to share about a blessing of our Lord to my family. We were in a financial crisis for the last two more years because of our house reconstruction and grandmothers death after one month in ICU. Even we were worked hard we found it difficult to get out from the crisis. During this time I used to pray like O my loving Jesus, as you know we are in a critical stage. Only your blessings can help us. Jesus, we want nearby 50,000/- for settling our financial problems. Now I am in Pondicherry. Last week I went to home. And I felt sad about the financial condition. Because of I am helpless I surrendered the problems to Lord. I came back here on last wednesday(19th March). I was actually gloomy because of these problems. But Lord was in action. That Friday evening my mother called for conveying a glad news. That we got prized from a lottery (amounted 54,000/-). See the Lord is very much caring about us. Again and again thanking him. March 29, 2003 Blessed Ludovico of Casoria (1814-1885) Born in Casoria (near Naples), Arcangelo Palmentieri was a cabinet-maker before entering the Friars Minor in 1832, taking the name Ludovico. After his ordination five years later, he taught chemistry, physics and mathematics to younger members of his province for several years. In 1847 he had a mystical experience which he later described as a cleansing. After that he dedicated his life to the poor and the infirm, establishing a dispensary for the poor, two schools for African children, an institute for the children of nobility, as well as an institution for orphans, the deaf and the speechless, and other institutes for the blind, elderly and for travelers. In addition to an infirmary for friars of his province, he began charitable institutes in Naples, Florence and Assisi. He once said, Christs love has wounded my heart. This love prompted him to great acts of charity. To help continue these works of mercy, in 1859 he established the Gray Brothers, a religious community composed of men who formerly belonged to the Secular Franciscan Order. Three years later he founded the Gray Sisters of St. Elizabeth for the same purpose. Toward the beginning of his final, nine-year illness, Ludovico wrote a spiritual testament which described faith as light in the darkness, help in sickness, blessing in tribulations, paradise in the crucifixion and life amid death. The local work for his beatification began within five months of Ludovicos death. He was beatified in 1993. Comment: Saintly people are not protected from suffering, but with Gods help they learn how to develop compassion from it. In the face of great suffering, we move either toward compassion or indifference. Saintly men and women show us the path toward compassion. REFLECTION: Ludovicos spiritual testament begins: The Lord called me to himself with a most tender love, and with an infinite charity he led and directed me along the path of my life. Hi Jys Praise the Lord. For the past 2 days I too was wondering about the prayer day for next month. I think we should pray for broken families, especially where the husband and wife does not get along and also for the children who will be wounded by this. For their healing and for them to know Jesus in a special way. In the past few days I have heard of 2 or 3 cases where the wifes have been mentally abused by their husbands and sometimes even their in-laws and they all need our prayers. The spouses their parents. And even their children that they all get healing. What do you all think ? dear friends inchrist, i am or was a active member of jesus youth4 sometime.but later due 2 some problems i stop working 4 lord through jesus youth.but i say it helped me aa lot 2 grow in spirit. i am sending this mail 'cos i had promised lord that i would give a testimony but never got 2 do it .so iam posting my testimony.i have always been a believer ever since i was a child.but i truly found my spiritual self when i went 4 my college.i attende a retreat conducted by jesusyouth and was transformedthrogh difficult times it gave me strength.i started backsliding in my faith a little during my final year.but gog wanted me back.even though i gave my exams well i failed in 1 paper. it was like a life force came back.ifound solace only in prayer and penance.i started taking fasting prayer.say rosary atleast 3 times.and i gave 4 revaluation.no one including me had faith that i'll pass since the difference was of 9 marks.but a day i week before my results came and i passed.i just prayed and was ready 2 accept what he had 4 me .and he gave me what i wanted. i want 2 tell u all that keep praying whatever the outcome and god will give u if u need it,'co he knows best dear friends pray 4 me i am having very poor eyes.i am shortsighted.i already did an operation 6 months back.but my vision is not clear.the doctors say it will never b fully clear .but i believe that it will b allright 'cos my father knows best praise god love, seena __ Do you Yahoo!?
