Solomon, the wise king says -"This alone is my conclusion. God created man straightforward, and human artifices are human inventions." - Eccl 7:29.
Coming to SIMPLICITY, I want to write the above sentence in "simple" terms. "God created man SIMPLE. He made a mess of everything, and made it COMPLEX for himself and others." That's what I understand when I read my Malayalam version of Bible.
As someone put earlier, we see this simplicity in kids. I thank God for one year which He gave me when I was entrusted the responsibility of my 4 year old nephew. God taught me so many SIMPLE and STRAIGHTFORWARD and WONDERFUL things thru him. And He says.
(25) "I bless You Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for hiding these thngs from the learned and the clever, and revealing them to little children. (26) Yes Father, for that is what is pleased to You." - Mt 10: 25-26.
I too bless You my Father, for
being like a child gives me joy,
the security that I am taken care of,
that You are in charge of everything,
that I don't have to worry about tomorrow, that though I am not grown up (physically, mentally or spiritually) You always help us to grow,
that even if I fall, You'll make me stand,
that in my weakness You are my strength,
that I am not alone,
that You and Your promises will never fail me,
and............................ so many things. Well I don't want to think too much that I lose my simplicity. I'll learn more when He reveals. He definitely reveals, coz Mt 10: 25-26 says so. And He knows what He says.
Lord make us more like a child.
St Teresa likes to be called little flower. Whenever she referred to her soul, she used the term LITTLE SOUL.
I am happy that I need not be a superman. I need no masks that burden me.
Jesus told St. Paul - "My strength is revealed in your weakness". haaaaiiii.... Then God can reveal His strength in me abundantly. Praise God
