I think you didnt make selector valid. You need to use them just like
you use in css. For instance, you have this:
$(1).tablesorter( {sortList: [[0,0], [1,0]]} );
it should be this:
$(#1).tablesorter( {sortList: [[0,0], [1,0]]} );

I'm pretty sure it's invalid HTML/CSS/whatever to have elements whose
IDs start with a number. Trying using a regular name, such as
element1.
