It was only me, TR, and another fellow, who I'm sorry to say I've
seen twice and still don't know his name. We didn't do anything but
I was ten minutes late so I might have missed two lightning talks! :)

I believe that Tom Hicks is presenting on Scala next month. I'm sure
that will be a good one.

About meetings in general, I've been thinking it might be fun to
start meetings by going around the room and giving each person a
chance to tell about something useful or interesting they've come
across recently. Keep it short, a minute or two each.

Sorry, couldn't make it this week (and obviously behind on email too).
I'll try for next month, if I'm in town.

Did anybody show, and do lightning talks? If so, how did it go?

Hi all,

why doesn't everyone bring down some code to show off for 5 - 10
minutes with dsicussion?

Probably not me, still feeling under the weather.

BTW, I see that tucson-jug.org is producing a 502 (bad gateway) at
the moment.

Thanks, I need to get that added into my startup script so this
doesn't happen when the box goes down.

Yes, indeed. I am definitely looking forward to this one!

Hi,

Just a heads up to confirm that I'm still on schedule to do a
presentation on Test Driven Development tomorrow (2nd Tuesday, right?)
There will also be a sprinkling of Agile Evangilism, so naysayers and
unbelievers are welcome!

This will be a collaborative experiment. As a group, we will be
re-implementing one of the core Java Collection classes, using TDD.
If we have time, we'll also discuss some other various topics, such as
some real-life TDD I've recently done in Ruby.

Also, I just got a used laptop that is not 100% reliable and only has
cable ethernet. If someone has a backup laptop just in case, that
would be great. Sorry, I'm just not cool enough to have a shiny new
Mac laptop :)

Thanks,
Chad

Sure, it would be interesting to hear a comparison between Spring and
Hivemind...and hear his theories on how Spring got so damn popular
instead of the other IoC containers. :-)

And in deference to Mr. Z, another quick dose of Tapestry couldn't hurt.

(Latest project I've got is using SpringMVC and Velocity.)
