Hi all, Summary: In order to enable the OpenStack Charmers to better respond to merge requests and iterate on the OpenStack charms, all OpenStack charms will be re-promulgated from ~charmers to ~openstack-charmers. THIS WILL BE A PROBLEM for anyone who is referencing an openstack charm, listed below, with the full Launchpad branch name (ie: lp:~charmers/charms/precise/<charm>/trunk). To avoid this issue in the future please make sure you are at least using lp:charms/<charm> if not a fully qualified charm store url, cs:precise/<charm>.
Charms Affected: ceilometer ceilometer-agent ceph ceph-osd ceph-radosgw cinder glance hacluster heat keystone nova-cloud-controller nova-compute nova-compute nova-volume openstack-dashboard quantum-gateway swift-proxy swift-storage While this change won't break anyone who is referencing charm store URLs (ie: cs:precise/<charm> or lp:charms/<charm>) this may break older bundles or scripts which do not use the canonical naming scheme for charm store charms. In order facilitate a move these will be re-promulgated tonight but the original ~charmers branches of each will remain for one week, finally being removed on March 1st. Please note that these ~charmers branches will not be updated and are merely left to allow time to update scripts. I will be going through each bundle in the charm store and pinging bundle authors directly if they need to update their bundles to new URLs. For those who don't have bundles published in the charm store which utilize the OpenStack charms, please review and update as necessary. For those with merge proposals against the current openstack-charms I will be resubmitting these against ~openstack-charmers. If I miss any, my apologies, you simply need to resubmit and target against the new branch. Finally, if you have any questions about this migration please feel free to contact me directly or ping me on IRC (marcoceppi). I'll be happy to explain further this process and it's potential impact on how you use the OpenStack charms. I tried to include all the mailing lists this would pertain to without dumping to too many lists. I also want to re-iterate that unless you're using very specific (and, arguably the proper way) to reference charms this change will be transparent to you. Thanks, Marco Ceppi On behalf of ~charmers
