I just installed the latest JRE (JRE 7). On my Microsoft Windows 7
computer this fixes the layer visibility check box bug. I'll check for
the same fix on my Linux computer as soon as I can.

P.S. - When using the CORE nightly build, I had to edit the batch file
and hard code the path to
