I would like to join openjump project and contribute to openjump. I had done a
geo-visualization project using GRASS GIS UMN MapServer
http://keralainfo.web4all.in/resources/htdocs/index.php. Also made some
contributions to GRASS GIS Project

usually people don't join the project right away - in terms of receiving
write access to the svn or other types of logins/rights on sourceforge.
However, new folks is always welcome!
It depends also a bit on what type of contribution do you think of, e.g.
if you want to develop
As far as I know there is no way for a student to still be involved in
Google Summer of Code this summer. I don't know if Openjump will get
any future slots, as the decision was made this year to give
preference to OSGeo projects.
