Do you know (if you can say) whether there are plans for an M/T Series version
of this book?
There is a big hole in the market in terms of training material for the
JNCIA/JNCIS exams since the Sybex books went out of print.
Thanks

I do know there are plans for a M/T series book, but not sure of the ETA
for those plans. The M/T exams are still valid for the older sybex
stuff, so when that changes..

That's fine for you, and other people who've either:
A) Already got the qualification, and hence know the material
B) Have a copy of the book to study from.
There is a genuine problem for people who want a paper reference book, and
aren't willing to pay the $80+ that people are asking for copies
Ok, fair enough... Although most of the time I hear it the othe way where
people would rather have PDF copies than printed ones! I just got through
digging through my bookshelves downstairs but apparantly I had given away my
hard copies of those books a while ago otherwise I'd offer to send
You can use 'show system storage' and look for the /dev/ad0* device.
Juniper indicates that 9.0+ requires a 1GB CF (though I'd be
interested to hear if someone has tried it on a 256MB card just for
kicks).

Does anyone know if it is possible to upgrade a SSG-140-SB (256M RAM standard)
to 512M? Apparently you need 512M to do some of the Deep Inspection stuff, but
the price difference between the -SH and -SB is $500 or so.
TIA.

I actually find that show chassis hardware detail is more easy to read, as
that shows a single line with the CF details, rather than show system storage
which has a line for each partition on each volume, so you need to do some
calculations to get from that to the actual CF size.
Hope this

You can buy and install the 512 option memory.

Wow, $800 for a 512M stick of RAM -- looks like Cisco RAM pricing :-)
I was mainly curious if someone has used 3rd party RAM and if there is some
additional license key you need, etc..
