I am trying to wrap my head around how the MX handles ARP resolution,
and how it stores packets waiting to be transmitted, while waiting for ARP
to resolve.
If a transit packet comes into a router, on a PFE, and there is no
corresponding entry in the ARP cache for the next hop, the routing
Hi all,
Another question about finding drops.
This time, identifying the dropped packet counters that would increment as a
result of being dropped during a controlled failure scenario.

Hey everybody--
It's looking more likely that I have a cable issue, here, and just need to get
that replaced. I've got two dozen LC cables around here. Fat lot of good that
does me, now.
Appreciate everybody talking me down from the ledge. Have a great week.

Hi,
Just to close the loop on this, according to JTAC, the throughput issues
observed are addressed in KB33477 (basically, wire speed can be achieved on >

Not sure if this is the problem... maybe it's the laser thing Jerry
mentioned, ... but maybe you need to online the mic ? I think I had to do
this with new mpc's I put in my mx960's but unsure if it's required at the
mic level for newly inserted mics...
Request chassis pic online or something
Simple - but did you turn on the laser?
