You don't have to redo /setup your email again and no they don't coexist...
Be warned there isn't a way to revert back to older versions without
deleting the app which will delete your data(emails) and reinstalling
after leaving the beta program.

For Android? I am set to autoupdate and have received no such new version. I am
at 5.6 dated 9/2/18. I see no way to poll for an update and am dependent on the
app to detect one.
