I have several email accounts configured in K-9 and for the last several
months the notifications for several of them have been appearing for
several seconds and then clearing themselves. This issue has spanned
across two different phones (LG-V30 and LG-G7 ThinQ) and has happened
whether I set
Disappearing notifications would be an operating system problem, not K-9.

When I mark all emails read inside K9, the Android notification at the top of
screen does not get cleared. I have to separately clear notifications in the
phone OS. It gets annoying. Anyone have a solution?

I thought about that but K-9 is the only app that this happens with. No other
app notifications dissappear like this, leading me to believe it is something
with K-9 itself.

Issues first popped up on my last phone, an LG-V30 running Android 8. The issue
continued on my next and current phone, an LG-G7 ThinQ running Android 8
initially and upgrading to Android 9 currently.

I have devices running K-9 on an Android 4.4, 5, 7, and 9 with no disappearing
notifications. Each syncs with five different IMAP servers.
