I'm trying to build a linux 2.4.18 kernel with kbuild and using the Aegis configuration management system. Unfortuantely Aegis makes heavy use symlinks to implement something similar to kbuild's shadow directories. Aegis has the option not to use symlinks but the development tools must be a
