also check whether you really intend to use egl in Qt. That's not the default
and clearly not the intended renderer for Qt on X11. Sounds like you set the
wrong flags in your Qt build.

No, it was caused by a change in the default timeline track height. I
reproduced and fixed it a few minutes ago, so shouldn't happen anymore.

I found that not ksysguard asks for the passwords, but the ssh session that
connects to the remote machines.
After setting up ssh to allow passwordless login, the problem disappeared.
