To recover the file, you need specialized tools, I'm afraid. The jpeg library
says:
Corrupt JPEG data: 5 extraneous bytes before marker 0xd5
JPEG datastream contains no image

Pretty much as predicted. The window got unmapped, thus fall out of management
and thus is neither listed in the taskbar nor geometry corrected by the WM.
